SWIFT spies

The United States Treasury Department has had secret access to records maintained as part of the SWIFT system, which it has been using secretly for years to identify financial ties to terrorist entities.

    I wonder what other uses you could make of this kind of information. I mean, finding terrorists is no doubt useful, but aren’t there some pretty nice ways of making lots of money, or gathering tremendous power, when you can see the day-to-day flow of money between entities?
